In March, I officially launched Slow Fox Wellness, a multifaceted wellness company on a mission to help people build empowered relationships with their bodies; using plant medicine and nature-based rituals as tools for self-discovery and healing.
Fundamentally, though, this work is about power. How we reclaim our power through embodied wellbeing and joy.
Some have asked me why I wanted to start a business now… when everything feels uncertain?
My answer is, and remains, now is the time for this business. The antidote to uncertainty is reconnection—with ourselves, with one another, and with the lands we inhabit. That’s the heart of what I offer.
Helping people redefine their rhythms, using nature’s example, so they can feel steadier in a world that often demands too much, too fast.
Guiding people on tuning into their body’s wisdom—reclaiming the kind of joy and ease that comes from feeling truly at home in themselves.
Equipping people with the knowledge and confidence to grow, harvest, and use plants for their wellbeing.
Cultivating space for heart-centered communities to grow, because we’re not meant to do it all alone.
We may not be able to escape discomfort entirely. But self-agency, presence, joy, and community buoy us, when so many forces are outside of our control.
When I feel uncertain, it is the mission of this work that I root into. And at the heart of this mission is the deep, transformative relationship we can cultivate with ourselves and the natural world.
In the many hours I’ve spent in quiet connection with others—sharing stories, sitting with the seasons, learning from plants not just as medicine, but as mirrors—I’ve found more peace, joy, and wholeness than I ever imagined.
I want that for everyone.
So, as the general uncertainty may grow, I know I’m not just building a business but a way of being. Through this work, I am helping people reclaim wisdom, find balance, and tap into the fortitude necessary for our time.
