I feel you on the challenge of separating identity and productivity, as someone who was laid off almost a year ago and is still not sure what's next. I've grown in ways that won't fit on a resume but still dread the "So what do you do?" question.
Our language is so limited when it comes to work or work-adjacent topics. We want everyone to fit in neat little boxes, but most of us don't, can't or won't... I'm excited for more of us to break the mold, and help build a new vernacular around which we can talk about our work, our purpose, how we spend time etc.
